
Nicole Miranda, PT, DPT

Nicole Miranda, PT, DPT, is a physical therapy clinician, educator, and consultant with 30 years of experience. Dr. Miranda has worked in acute care pediatrics, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, private practice, and home health settings. She is passionate about primary care physical therapy, drawing attention to the differential diagnosis of neurological and vestibular disorders, autonomic dysfunction, and immune system reactivity. She maintains a small private practice offering telehealth and in-home services to individuals in Colorado with chronic health conditions, and she routinely provides community service through webinars, advocacy, and presentations affiliated with Dysautonomia International.

Dr. Miranda developed extensive teaching experience and continues to engage as adjunct faculty at Regis University (2005-present). She served as an Assistant Professor in the hybrid accelerated DPT programs at South College Knoxville and Atlanta from ‘18 to ‘25 and currently develops doctorate-level curriculum as a project-based consultant.

As a career-long member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), she has presented at multiple Colorado State Chapter and National meetings and is a member of multiple APTA academies and special interest groups. She offers mentoring to physical therapists and students in critical thinking skills to foster professional development.

Dr. Miranda’s contributions include textbook chapters on concussion in Umphred’s Neurological Rehabilitation and on headache in Goodman and Fuller’s Pathology: Implications for the Physical Therapist, and many peer-reviewed articles related to dysautonomia. Dr. Miranda has entrepreneurial experience as a CEO and Co-Founder and has participated in multiple innovation accelerators. She recently gathered data as an expert clinician in a National Science Foundation (NSF) Phase 1 SBIR clinical trial and is a clinical advisor to SteadiSystems.
